The Village Manly, Stage 3

The project.

The Village Manly is a premium bayside retirement community being developed by The Village Retirement Group on the heritage-listed Lota House site at Manly, in Brisbane’s east, and built by FKG Group.

The site sits alongside an operating aged care community and a chapel, so construction is staged with separate access points to keep the existing community running without interruption.

The brief.

Engineered spotted gum and blackbutt through the apartments, carpet to bedrooms, custom carpet tiles and planks with cushion backing to the shared spaces, luxury vinyl, slip-resistant safety vinyl to wet areas and an acoustically isolated gym and wellness floor, all delivered around residents and staff.

What we’re installing.

• Shared spacesMilliken custom-design carpet tiles with WellBAC cushion backing, Interface World Woven carpet planks, Shaw Contract Huddle and Landform carpet, and Shaw Contract Abide LVT.
• Wet areasGerflor Tarasafe slip-resistant safety vinyl with heat-welded seams.
• Gym and wellnessRegupol everroll rubber over a Regupol Sonus Core acoustic underlay.
• Floor preparationPallmann moisture barrier and Ardex preparation systems, with recessed coir entry matting.
