Brookland Retirement Living, Stage 2

The project.

Brookland is a retirement village in Robertson, in Brisbane’s south, developed by Greenfort Capital and Reside Communities. Stage 2 added a new building of retirement apartments with a cinema, library and outdoor entertaining areas, built by FDC inside the operating village.

FDC delivered the building while Stage 1 residents continued to live alongside the site, including connecting the new basement to the existing Stage 1 building.

The brief.

Carpet and vinyl plank through the apartments, carpet tiles to the corridors and a separate carpet tile scheme for the cinema and library, all installed while the village stayed open around us.

What we installed.

• ApartmentsGodfrey Hirst Modern Texture broadloom carpet on Dunlop Government Red underlay and Godfrey Hirst Aquila vinyl plank.
• CorridorsGodfrey Hirst Classic Twill carpet tiles, with transitions detailed for safe movement between floor types.
• Cinema and libraryShaw Contract Community carpet tiles.
• Floor preparationArdex skim coating beneath all vinyl areas.
