The Carter

The project.

The Carter is Mosaic Property Group’s residential tower on Linton Street, Kangaroo Point, designed by BDA Architecture and built by Mosaic Construction. Its two and three-bedroom residences and sky homes look straight across the river to the Brisbane CBD.

Amenities run from a gymnasium and a golf simulator and cinema to a full rooftop recreation level with pool, spa, cold plunge, sauna, private dining, an outdoor cinema and barbecue zones.

The brief.

A complete flooring package from the lobby to the rooftop: carpet and acoustic hybrid through the residences, engineered oak in the premium residences, carpet planks and recessed entry matting to the corridors and lobbies, a herringbone timber floor to the residents’ dining room and an acoustically isolated gym.

What we’re installing.

• ApartmentsGodfrey Hirst Rocky Point solution-dyed nylon and Godfrey Hirst Fyans wool carpet to bedrooms; Godfrey Hirst Apollo Select Oak hybrid with integrated acoustic backing; Godfrey Hirst Corsica Oak engineered timber in the premium residences.
• Corridors and lobbiesInterface Simple Abstraction carpet planks and custom-design carpet, with Birrus Ultramat recessed entry matting.
• Residents’ amenitiesCarpet to the cinema, golf simulator and office, an Embelton Coastal Blackbutt herringbone floor to the residents’ dining room, and a hand-tufted wool and Tencel inset rug.
• GymRegupol everroll Classic rubber over a Regupol Sound acoustic underlay, to the acoustic engineer’s specification.
• Floor preparationDiamond grinding to the 2023 silica regulations and Ardex levelling, with Rhino board and Polyweave protection through to handover.
