The Mowbray

The project.

The Mowbray is Mosaic Property Group’s residential building on Northcote Street, East Brisbane, designed by DKO Architecture and built by Mosaic Construction. It pairs contemporary architecture with the character of East Brisbane and was completed in January 2025.

Alongside ground-floor retail, residents have a co-lab lounge and boardroom, a gymnasium with steam room and sauna, and a rooftop recreation level with pool, sun deck and barbecue and dining areas overlooking the city and river.

The brief.

Carpet, acoustic hybrid and custom Trojan Timbers European oak in the premium three-bedroom residences, a mix of carpet tiles and Tretford cord carpet to the common areas, engraved entry mats and a rubber gym floor.

What we installed.

• ApartmentsGodfrey Hirst Bayside carpet, with Godfrey Hirst Harrington in the premium apartments, on Dunlop Government Red underlay; Godfrey Hirst Apollo Select Oak hybrid; custom Trojan Timbers European oak engineered flooring in the premium three-bedroom residences, floated over an acoustic underlay.
• Common areasGodfrey Hirst Field of View, Ingrain and Feltex Eucalypt carpet tiles, Tretford cord carpet and Trojan Timbers oak.
• GymRegupol everroll Ultimate rubber.
• EntriesBirrus Ultramat Impression entry mats with engraved inserts.
• Floor preparationDiamond grinding to the 2023 silica regulations and Ardex levelling, with Polyweave protection on completion.
