Walker Tenancy, 50 First Avenue

The project.

50 First Avenue is the first commercial tower in the Maroochydore City Centre, the Sunshine Coast’s new central business district, developed by Walker Corporation.

FDC Construction & Fitout delivered the level 7 Walker tenancy, with timber-panelled reception and lounge areas, a breakout kitchen, meeting rooms and open-plan workspace.

The brief.

A front-of-house floor to match the timber-panelled reception: engineered oak laid on the diagonal inside a border of the same board, carpet planks through the workspace and patterned vinyl in the feature areas, all over a slab ground and levelled to suit.

What we installed.

• Reception and front of houseTongue & Groove Piccolo Collection engineered oak in Classic, 189 mm wide, direct-stuck on the diagonal and framed with a border in the same timber.
• WorkspaceInterface World Woven carpet planks in two colourways.
• Feature areasShaw Contract luxury vinyl tile laid on the diagonal with a double border.
• Trims and transitionsDark bronze trims between the timber, vinyl and carpet, with perimeter silicone to the timber.
• Floor preparationDiamond grinding across the tenancy, levelling where needed, and weekend works to keep the floor on program.
• Protection and handoverRhino board and Polyweave protection through to handover, with a WOCA care kit for the timber.
